He is keeping me on the clomid again for this month at the same dosage (100mg) so we can still eat at the moment – we don’t have to pay the $800 ovulation injection fees (this is the next stage). Only problem we have this month is that my mother-in-law will be here staying with us during ovulation (as if all the trying to conceive hasn’t put me off already!) – it’s like going back to the beginning, quiet, sneaky rendez-vous.

I think we are still in the novelty stage because Harry comes home from school and says Mom what are my pocket money chores – both boys dried the pots for me the other night. Both of them had teatowels and Harry picked the pots off of the drainer dried them and then gave them to Sam who of course dried them some more and put them on the side. I must hasten to add I had quickly but discreetly got the breakables off the drainer beforehand. Wow, I hope this carries on until their teens, lol.

3) Vaccinations can damage the immune system by reducing your own immunity to viruses. Now this is something that does make sense to me. My Dad gets the flu jab every year and has done ever since he was a semi-pro footballer. He has been getting it now for around 30 years. Before he started with the flu jab he was fine and used to cope with illnesses well. Now if there is any sign of a cold he is sure to get it – a lot worse than the person who gave him the cold. Another thing that has played a large part on his immune system not working as it should is the amount of antibiotics he has had. For others it’s drugs or smoking but for my Dad it’s antibiotics ! I have tried to talk to him but he knows best or so he says, sorry if you’re reading this Dad but stop popping the pills!

4) From what I am reading there is a lot of debate as to whether or not the vaccination has been properly tested

5) My kids are tough normally – they shake illnesses of quickly. I have them on probiotics, omega and vitamins daily which has helped with this.

Harry’s Question was:
Are you upside down ? I didn’t get this at first so I asked him to point out which one he meant. It was the one with the bald head – he thought the head was his chin. It was so funny.

I absolutely love playing board games with the kids but the Guess Who Board Game has now jumped up to the top for me.

I have my appointment tomorrow to see him so I am just hoping it’s good news. He will have my blood test results back from day 21 so it will give him an idea as to whether the doubling the clomid dose actually made me ovulate. If it doesn’t look good then he wants to start the injections to make me ovulate which are a lot more expensive.

This month I have had no symptons of being tired, cranky or sore boobs until now. I do feel exhausted but that is most likely due to the fact that I have been up at 4am the last 2 mornings. My boobs have just started to hurt and feel swollen. That’s me done on the symptons because as you know from my last post on pregnancy I am not listening to them anymore – I had loads of symptons last month only to find out that I hadn’t even ovulated !

The trial that they are going to start on now is on a much larger scale. They are working with 100 children aged between 7 and 15. The trial will last 3 years. To start with the children will be given approximately a milligram of peanut flour daily mixed together with yogurt. Then they will be given the dosage of peanut flour to take at home every day. Every 2 weeks the dosage will be increased.

During the trial it is expected that some children will experience mild reactions such as stomach ache but eventually they will be able to tolerate peanuts. After 3 months that are expecting the children to be able to tolerate 5 peanuts daily.

If (I am praying for a positive here) the trial goes well the treatment for peanut allergies will be available at the clinic in about 3 years.

The trial takes place where there are specialists and resuscitation drugs should a child have an allergic reaction. It is definitely not a ‘do-it-yourself’ trial.

It is estimated now that 1 in 50 of children in the UK now have a peanut allergy. A child only has 20% chance of outgrowing a peanut allergy.

Sounds promising doesn’t it ? I have my fingers crossed. If this trial proves successful then they will go on to look at other allergies such as eggs, sesame etc. A life without allergies would just be a dream wouldn’t it ? I am including in this post a clip on what children think to having their allergies and experiences they have had with reactions.

I know it can all seem a bit daunting at first but once you have written your first article and see the benefits, you will be hooked. You get your content from the good old web. Google what you are looking for and there you have it – your information. You must however not copy what others have written, you can take the information and put it into your own words, but not just copy word for word. Yes, people will read your articles.

The next thing to consider is to make sure that you write articles with a good site. I have found Ezine Articles the best on the web. Google loves them which is great for you – you get higher ranking. They have lots of fabulous widgets, such as this that you can put on your blog or squidoo to link back to your articles.

The crazy thing is when I used to push them on the swings or watch them down the slide, I longed for this moment – now I have it, I want them to need me again! Does this sound crazy?

If you are currently having trouble getting pregnant you will know exactly what I am talking about, every month you listen to your body a lot more than you normally would and pick up on the smallest of things – it sends you paranoid! This month I have told my friends who get quizzed by me every month on things like, ‘when did your boobs start hurting?’, ‘when did you start to feel tired?’ etc, to ignore me if I quiz them or just simply tell me to shut up. I refuse to do it to myself anymore. I need to relax, but it’s so hard when you are having trouble getting pregnant, isn’t it?

The first couple of weeks of my cycle I am fine but then by the time the blood test comes around I am starting to stress, whilst at the same time telling myself I am not stressing! Like I said it’s all crazy!

Sam did his own picture and when I questioned him on what 2 of the things were on there, I was quite shocked by the answer (but it was hilarious at the same time). As you can see I have highlighted the bumps in question, No. 1 was his Bum (bottom) and based on that you can guess what No. 2 was! The beauty of this was there was no laughing, he was so serious. I dread to think what will be drawn on our next childrens arts and crafts session.

Harry had been looking forward to the evening for about 2 weeks. Yes, I made the mistake of telling him it was coming up, which meant at least 1000 (felt like that many) times a day I would get asked, how many days? how many sleeps? , right down to how many minutes? You get the picture, he was really excited.

Anyway it really was a lovely evening, the teacher was really happy with Harry and said that he had, had a good year at Prep. This was especially good for us to hear because we had emigrated from the UK the year before and with that came the question how will it affect he boys? Harry showed us all his work that he had done throughout the year. I have included the pics so that you can see for yourself how proud he was.

Underwater World

The first image is of the painting on the wall as you go down into the shark tunnel – it’s so realistic.

We had a great day out the other day at Underwater World in Mooloolaba. We got an annual membership – they had 25% off, so I guess we will be going a lot in the next year.

Sam absolutely loves this song. He gets so into it with all the actions, he loves it. Harry pretends he is not into it any more (it’s not cool enough for a 6 year old) but I can still see him watching Sam with a smile when he’s in full flow with the Bear Hunt Song actions. Here’s a video of the song itself and over the next few days I will tape Sam in full action – he’s got to be the biggest Bear Hunt Song fan !

The most romantic thing that my hubby has ever done was the way that he proposed. It’s one of those marriage proposal stories that you probably had to be there (don’t think that would have worked) to get the true romantic feeling. Anyway, we were over in Paris on holiday. That’s right the ‘city of love’, off to a good start so far, eh? I wanted to climb the Eifel Tower, so we started to climb. Now I should mention that my hubby does infact have a fear of heights – not a huge fear but enough to make his face as white as ‘Casper’ the ghost and cling onto the rail until his knuckles were white – this was when we were only on the second step – only kidding we were half way up at this point. I did ask him if he wanted to go down but he said no he wanted to get to the top which to be honest I did think it was a bit strange at the time but we carried on.

We made it to the top even though he had now changed from a Casper colour to looking very green! It was there that he asked me to marry him. I was shocked – was this the same guy who had put this weekend on hold for a football tournament? Naturally, I said NO I didn’t want to be married to some guy who couldn’t get to the top of the Eifel Tower without changing colours! Only kidding, of course I said YES.

Don’t get me wrong he didn’t go down on one knee or have a ring with him (he wanted me to choose it myself – thinks I am fussy – don’t know where he gets that idea from), but it was a really special moment and a moment that I will never forget.

I have also started to get a lot of my own images now. Whenever I go out I always have my phone which has a built in camera and video options and take pictures of all sorts of things from road signs to birds to pineapples! (Yes, I have used all of these images). You will be amazed with what photo opportunities come your way when you look around. Amazon has many video / camera mobile phones available.

Here’s Harry’s Review,

The therapist explained that at times it may hurt and just to let her know if it hurt too much. She asked me if I had any areas that I was getting pain from, so I told her about my neck area. It was so bad that when I moved my right arm, it hurt. The lady told me that women also hae a build up in there buttocks. Now there is definitely a build up of fat on my buttocks but I was hoping that this wasn’t what she was refering to. It wasn’t, she said that because women wear high heel (I don’t) and all other pressures that we put on our legs it causes a build up. I didn’t think that this would be a problem area because I had not experienced any pain there, probably the extra pounds in that area were providing protection? Ok, ok, I know I am clutching at straws, trying to excuse that extra portion of apple sponge and custard.

When she did get to the buttock area and after working on it for a few minutes pressed to release the tension, I nearly flew through the roof, it killed! Anyway, she did this a few times and every time she did it the pain got a bit less. The pain there when I was massaged was actually worse than when she did my neck!

After the massage she told me that I would probably ache for a few days (I did) and then I should start to feel the benefits. I also had to drink plenty of water that night and over the next couple of days. The benefits were great, a lot better than other massages, I must have had so many knots because now I felt so good.

I am now hooked on Remedial massage, no more nicey, nicey massages for me.

My husband has been trying to get a job with a company at Brisbane who do Pre-cast concreting and the money is really good. We had given up on it to be honest as the whole thing has been going on 2 months. Well, the foreman phoned me thinking that it was my husband, (I had his mobile) and said if Buster was still interested, provided he could start at 6am in the morning the job was his! I think I thanked him at least 10 times. I came off the phone and swung my colleague around a few times. I then told my supervisor what had happened and that I would have to leave because my husbands hours were long (he wont get in until 7pm at night) and sorry I was unable to give notice. He was great and said if anytime I needed to return that there would always be a job there for me!

My colleagues are going to organise a dinner or something to say goodbye – will miss them, but not the job. I cried on the way home because I am so not used to good news anymore! We went out for dinner with the boys – something that we have not done for ages. I am going to be there for my children just like I always wanted to be. I know how hard it is to have to leave them or not pick them up from school. I hated it.

Good news can actually happen – I had given up on it!

We are doubling the dosage this month, up to 100mg. Not looking forward to double the tiredness, swollen belly and swollen boobs, but, hey ho, it’s a small price to pay if it works! He told me that if it does not look like I respond to this then we will look at daily injections with monitoring to bring on ovulation. This will cost $800 per month – needless to say that we will not be able to afford it every month.

Please let us get ovulation and fertility this time, 3rd time lucky hopefully
