My Son Loves Pink – Nothing Wrong With That!

Sam Loves Pink!I went shopping the other day with a friend and her baby and my 4 year old Sam.  Now shopping with Sam is not always easy – he is a live wire.  A typical boy.  I need eyes in the back of my head with Sam, if I take them off him for a second he would manage to be at the other end of the shopping centre or climbing up one of those money in the slot merry go rounds.

We went in a baby and childrens clothes store – my friend needed some baby clothes for her little baby girl.  Now like I said Sam loves pink and rainbows.  Sam found a little pair of leggins (age 9-12 months) that were a pink, rainbow style, beautiful for a girl.  He just had to have them!  This is how the conversation went:

Sam: “Look Mom a rainbow”

Me: “Where Sam”

Sam “There” (he has hold of the leggins and is pointing to them)

Me: “Yeah, they are pretty, put them back then”

Sam: “Will you buy them Mom ?”

Me: “No, Sam they are for a baby, we don’t have a baby”

Sam: “No they’re not, look Mom they fit (holding the leggins – still on
the hanger up to himself) – see photo above”

Me: “They dont Sam they are too small”

Sam “They do look (he holds the leggins down so they touch his toes)”

It was one of those fantastic moments that our children bring us.  Just pricless!
